It’s May, which means it is ALMOST summertime (I see you taunting me, freshly filled pool) and summertime means: POPSICLES. And because popsicles aren’t just for the kiddos, I present to you FROSÉPOPS.

Yes, friends, you read that correctly: boozey popsicles because sometimes the sickly sweet popsicles found in the freezer aisle just won’t cut it. Added bonus to homemade pops: no startling blue tongues.

Rosé starts showing up in the stores about this time of year in beautifully styled displays and you can’t, no matter what you do, help but be drawn into the varying shades of pink glittering at you from behind various shaped bottles. Or maybe that’s just me that has this problem. And have you seen the rosé in cans? HOLY BEST PICNIC DRINKS, BATMAN.

8 ounces, strawberries
6 oz raspberries
¼ cup water
¼ sugar
2 TBSP lemon juice
1 cup rosé


In a small sauce pan make a simple syrup by combining the water, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook the mixture for 3-5 minutes, or until sugar has completely dissolved (I usually yank mine off the stove just as it starts to boil).

In a food processor pulse the strawberries and raspberries until smooth (though, tbh, I left mine a bit chunky because texture yo).

In a bowl combine simple syrup, berry mixture, and wine.

Pour into popsicle molds.

To remove from molds run some slightly warmer than room temperature water and wiggle / slide until the pop out.
